The un-simplified logic expression comes from the truth table where the decision passed. It is in the sum of products form.
Un-simplified Circuit:
The un-simplified circuit was designed using the un-simplified expression. Using 2 input gates caused the circuit to be very complex with a large number of gates. This circuit is very inefficient. Boolean Algebra Simplification:
Simplified Circuit:
Using Boolean Algebra to simplify the expression creates a simpler and more efficient circuit that uses less gates. Bill of Materials:

Conclusion:
This project was fairly easy and I learned the basics of bread boarding and circuits. I thought it was very interesting to see how a real life use can be applied to what we are learning. This project showed me how useful Boolean algebra can be in making a circuit more efficient.
